The standard we hold ourselves to

Standards
How Zenunwa chooses topics, checks claims, names writers, dates articles and handles corrections and commercial links.
Before you trust a word elsewhere on zenunwa.com, it is fair to know how those words get made. That is the entire purpose of this page.
Part of what keeps the lights on is commercial links. The verdict on a page is written first and does not bend to whether a link earns anything.
Nobody has ever bought the removal of a fair criticism here, and the ones who try mostly hand us the material for the next article.
We attach a person to every article on purpose. It means a mistake costs the writer something, which is the strongest quality control a site this size has.
Elodie Fairbanks, Editor. Elodie left a loud agency job for a quieter life and writes about the routines that made the change stick.
Tamsin Okoye, Games writer. Tamsin plays cozy and puzzle games every evening and writes about why calm games matter.
Ravindra Pillai, Sleep and home writer. Ravindra writes about sleep, light and small home changes, after years of fixing his own restless nights.
The date on an article is the date it was published. When a change alters the advice, we update the modified date and say what changed. Cosmetic edits do not reset the date, because pretending a page is fresher than it is helps nobody.
A subject earns a page when somebody has asked about it twice, or when we went looking for the answer ourselves and came back empty handed.
Corrections go to info@zenunwa.com. Include the address and the sentence. Anything factual is fixed without argument. Anything that changes what the article recommends gets a dated note underneath, so the change is visible.
